They are loosely woven out of 70% wool/ 30% rayon thread so the feel is not exactly like silk but very comfortable. Their thin leather sole may seem a little rough at first but it softens up quickly and is quite durable even though the stitching seems light. People tell us they wear them everyday. They are basically lightweight slippers that come up to the middle of your calf. They are not designed nor intended for wearing outside. They are very comfortable and very popular with teens, college students, and just about anyone else that tries them on. While they are the “mukluk” style, our Mukluks do not have the same weight, construction, or durability of other mukluks that cost much more. We know how pleased and happy the vast majority of our many customers are with their Mukluks. The rare dissatisfied customer we believe simply does not appreciate that our Mukluks are a low priced casual slipper and not a “killer deal” on an otherwise high priced, higher quality item.
